It smelled like goat, chicken and wet dog. I thought it would be just a vegetable and fish market. Then I saw red cages with beautiful golden dogs inside. I walked down an empty street lined with live dogs and dead ones ready to take home and cook. Gaegogi 개고기 dog meat. There were cages of all sizes with black goats, chickens, and kittens. Some of the meat workers had small, ugly dogs as pets.
